Course Description

Let worms eat your kitchen waste!

Vermicomposting is an efficient way to process vegetable waste, and provides you with high-quality plant food as well as a rich compost for use in your garden, or for your houseplants. It is also a good way to ensure that the valuable green material from your garden is not going to waste, but rather can be recycled and reused to produce delicious fruits and vegetables in the coming year.

In this workshop, you will learn the basics of worm composting, how to maintain your worm composter, what and how to feed your worms,  and troubleshooting tips. You will go home with a starter kit including a worm composter of your choice, a worm blanket, mineral powder, and a small bed of composting worms.
